Fire two is created from disused pallets and reclaimed wood. I using these materials to create a substantial temporary artwork it begins to question its presence in the landscape.
Upon first inspections the imposing scale of the work isolates the viewer ‘inside’ the work. Cut off from the outside apart from small vignettes through the multiple layers of pallets to the outside world.
As the viewer moves through the work they trigger the audio component. With noise erupting from inside the sculpture itself it not only highlights the confined space within the work but also question the connection between the gun sounds of the work and the physical shape of the void they are exploring.
