The form of this work resembles a scaled-up 555IC silicon chip. Invented in 1971 and known as a timing chip that creates oscillating signals to trigger external events, the 555 was central to the miniaturisation of electronics and helped drive the efficiency of modern life.
As society has progressed through the electronic age, much of that progress has been driven by the miniaturisation of common circuits onto silicon chips as integrated circuits. Digital devices have become so integrated into our daily lives that they are now almost invisible, seamlessly consumed within our activities as to be unremarkable. As the AI age dawns, software is becoming the key component in driving society forward, and the 555 becomes obsolete.
