E-waste, metal, lights, audio and various found objects
The challenge for week five of Design Junkies NZ 2019 was to create an installation work to display at the tunnels of Fort Takapuna referencing NZ native fauna and flora.
For those that cannot speak has two parts with two separate tracks of audio. One part representing the critically threatened species of birds in New Zealand including the NZ Fairy Tern (Tara iti), Kotuku and Kakapo. The second part represents modern media that infiltrates every part of modern society and its often ineffectual means of communicating important issues. There are two custom audio tracks from both parts and irritating light emitting from the TVs.
